Does the Fantasy Commissioner Desktop program work all the way through the playoffs? Yes, you can use Fantasy Commissioner all throughout the NFL playoffs. We provides stats for all the playoff games. Do I need to keep the files weekxx.wsf and weekxx.ldb, where xx is the week number? Once you have used the "Import Weekly Stats" option and successfully imported the stats for a particular week, you can delete the weekxx.wsf and weekxx.ldb files for that week. Should I backup my league database? How do I back it up? It is important to back-up your league database(s) at least once a week. To back it up, press "Database Tools" from the main menu and choose "Backup Database". How can I change the position of a player? To change the position of a player, choose "Statistics" from the main menu, then choose "Player/Team Stats". Then, find the player you wish to change the position for, and change his position using the "Current Position" field. How do I delete a league database? You can delete a league database by using Windows Explorer and navagating to the directory where you installed Fantasy Commissioner. Then, delete the league database. It will be the file with the league name and the extension ".fdb". A NFL player is not in the league database, how do I add him? Any player who gets a stat and is not in the league database will automatically be added to the league database when you import the weekly stats. If you want to add a player before this happens, choose "Statistics" from the main menu, then choose "Enter/View Boxscore". There is a "Add Player" button. Be very careful when entering the new player. Make sure you spell his name correctly. If you add a player and spell his name incorrectly, he will not receive weekly stats. I performed a trade/free agent pickup, and the results of the fantasy games changed. What happened? You likely made transactions for the wrong week. When making a trade or dropping a player from a roster, you have to make sure you conduct the transaction on the proper week. Always check the main menu to see that you are on the proper week. If you conduct a trade and the main menu shows week 3, this means the rosters will be changed for the games on week 3 and beyond, but the games for weeks 1 and 2 will not be modified. If you forgot to change the week number on the main menu, this will modify the results from the previous weeks. You should go back to the week where you made the incorrect transactions and correct them, then go to the correct week and make the transactions. When I go to the "View Fantasy Results" screen, there are no stats or results. What happened? This most likely reason for this is you do not have a fantasy schedule entered for the specified week. Go to the Fantasy Schedule screen and enter that weeks schedule. How can I change the team of a NFL player? To change the team of a player, choose "Statistics" from the main menu, then choose "Player/Team Stats". Then, find the player you wish to change the team for, and change his team using the "Current Team" field. A team won this week, but his record shows it as loss. A few of the screens in the software are getting cutoff. I can't see all of the window. The software is designed for a monitor with a resolution of at least 800x600. In order to see the entire window, you will need to increase the resolution of your monitor (it is likely set at 640x480). To do this, right-click on your desktop and choose "Properties". Then click on the "Settings" tab and change the "Desktop Area" to be greater than 640x480. |
